Hundreds of anti-government protesters filled the square in Kraljevo city in central Serbia on April 16. The protestors were demanding justice for the roof collapse incident at a train station in Novi Sad that killed more than a dozen people. Earlier, Serbia's parliament approved Prof Djuro Macut as PM, following months of anti-corruption protests that led his predecessor to resign. Daily rallies led by students spread across Serbia and became the biggest challenge in President Aleksandar Vucic's 12-year-long rule.
