Students Caught in Row Over 4-Year Course at Delhi University
Thousands of students about to join college this year are caught in a standoff over the Delhi University's Four Year Undergraduate Programme or FYUP. The Delhi University has refused to follow the order of the central funding body, the University Grants Commission (UGC) to scrap the four-year system that has been strongly opposed by teachers and student bodies. Various student groups are protesting today to push for a return to the old three-year pattern.
