Students in Assam slam passport laxity
Thousands of All Assam Student Union volunteers gheroed the Regional Passport Office in Guwahati protesting against the issue of passports to Bangladeshis which was revealed in a recent High Court ruling. The court has asked the passport office to submit a report by September 30 as to how a passport could be issued to one Abdul Hashim whose case was pending before the tribunal.
