Students protest against donations in govt school
Students of a government school in Chennai went on a protest few days ago, charging the parent-teacher association of demanding donations. While PTAs are authorised to collect Rs 25 per year for development of infrastructure, the school has demanded Rs 250, which is ten times the permissible amount and is something that the poor students cannot afford.
