Sukhbir Singh Badal's 100-Day Poll Campaign Disrupted By Protesting Farmers

Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal, who launched a 100-day poll campaign with an aim to visit 100 assembly constituencies, has hit a rough patch with farmers protesting against his public addresses in almost every constituency. In Moga, Mr Badal faced protests that turned violent. The police on Thursday resorted to lathicharge and used water cannons on a group of protesting farmers in Moga as they marched towards Sukhbir Singh Badal's rally. Farmer leaders claimed that around a dozen have suffered injuries in police action.
