Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar has once again criticised the judiciary over appointment of judges saying that "public posturing from judicial platforms is not good". The comments come in the backdrop of the Supreme Court conveying its displeasure to the Attorney General over constitutional authorities and political executives making statements over judicial appointments. Mr Dhankhar, who is the Rajya Sabha chairman, asserted that parliamentary sovereignty and autonomy are quintessential for the survival of democracy and cannot be permitted to be compromised by the executive or judiciary.
