Supreme Court Puts On Hold Allahabad High Court's Order On Lockdown In UP
The Uttar Pradesh government has challenged the Allahabad High Court's lockdown order for five cities - Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Kanpur and Gorakhpur. The government said in its petition in the Supreme Court that the High Court cannot infringe upon the domain of the executive.
