Today the Supreme Court said that women have the constitutional right to enter Kerala's Sabarimala temple, a big boost for women's rights but also a very sensitive issue as for the last 800 years there has been a stop on women of menstruating age that's between 10 and 50 from entering the famed Lord Ayyappan temple and this is an emotional issue for many. The five-judge constitution bench which is hearing the case first filed in 2006, today said women cannot be discriminated against with regard to offering prayers in a temple.
