Suresh Kalmadi Declines Olympic Body Post, Will Abhay Chautala Be Next?

On The Buck Stops Here, outrage after two tainted politicians and sports administrators Suresh Kalmadi and Abhay Chautala are nominated as lifetime members of the Indian Olympic Association - the same body that was thrown out of the international Olympic fold because of the election of Mr Chautala as its President. It was only after the constitution of the IOA was changed and only after Mr Chautala was forced to step down was India back as an Olympic nation. The government cracked the whip this time on the IOA and by the end of the day Suresh Kalmadi who went to jail in the Commonwealth Games scam turned down the lifetime post but what about double standards. One of those who attended the IOA meeting where this nomination took place was BJP leader Anurag Thakur and it's still a mystery whether, in fact, he was okay with Mr Chautala or Mr Kalmadi being nominated for the post.
