Suspected militants kill sarpanch in J&K
Fear has gripped Kreeri area of Baramulla district after killing of a panchayat member in the village last evening.
The sarpanch, Muhammad Shafi, was shot dead by unidentified militants outside his home at Nowpora village in Kreeri area, at around 8:15 pm. The 38-year-old was shifted to sub-district hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
