Controversy continues to deepen in the accusations against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) councillor Tahir Husain for his role in the violence that broke out in Delhi over the Citizenship (Amendment) Act or CAA. He has been accused of leading violence and in the murder of an Intelligence Bureau employee in his neighborhood. Two FIRs have been filed against him, and he was arrested on Thursday. Mr Husain has said he did not take part in the violence, but was a victim. He said he called the police for help many times. NDTV has accessed five phone calls that Mr Husain made to the police control room, and to police officials, during the violence.
