Taliban-style diktat near Delhi: Lack of political will to take on khap panchayats?
A village in Western Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat district, the home constituency of Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh, has issued a diktat to its women, asking them not to own mobile phones and prohibiting them from taking evening walks or attending the weekly market. They've banned love marriages as well.
