Boats Deployed In Chennai As It Braces For Very Heavy Rain
The Chennai Municipal Corporation has deployed 41 boats across the city at vulnerable low-lying areas to rescue people in case there is flooding as there is forecast for heavy to very heavy rainfall. On Sunday, 21 cm rain had pounded the city inundating several areas. NDTV visited the Defence Colony, close to River Adyar, which had witnessed heavy flooding during the 2015 floods.
