Restaurants in Tamil Nadu reopened today for dining after two months even as the state's coronavirus tally crossed 30,000. The state government has issued strict SOPs including no air conditioners, only 50 per cent occupancy, disinfection of chairs and tables after every use, sanitisers on every table and thermal scanning. There are around 50,000 restaurants across the state, around 20,000 in Chennai alone. NDTV visited Chennai's Maris Hotel, a 40-year-old hotel on Chennai's Dr Radhakrishnan Salai.
