Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen has withdrawn controversial lines in her autobiographical book Dikhandita, which has evoked strong protests from a ''section of the people''. The book published in 2003 was banned by the West Bengal government on grounds that it hurts religious feelings of the people. The book was also banned by the High Court of West Bengal.
