Tax penalty won’t impact our India plans: Vodafone Essar CEO
In an exclusive interview with NDTV, Marten Pieters, CEO of Vodafone Essar has broken Vodafone's silence on the massive $2 billion tax liability case. Pieters said with the imposition of tax penalty India has moved away from global rules on taxing M&As and in a few years’ time period this will hit Indian companies much harder than the developed world. He emphasized that tax penalty wont impact company’s India plans.
