BJP MP Tejasvi Surya launched a strong critique of the Congress party, accusing them of attempting to portray themselves as defenders of the constitution and the most prominent Ambedkarites in recent days. He also presented a newspaper clipping from April 27, 1948, featuring Dr. BR Ambedkar’s speech at the UP SC Federation's annual conference in Lucknow, where he warned that joining the Congress party would be "suicidal."
