Although the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) scooped a win in the Munugode by-election after a fierce neck-and-neck battle with the BJP, the real story from the bypoll was that of the Congress. Congress candidate Palvai Sravanthi for Munugode bypoll in Telangana says she is not ashamed of losing her deposit in the election because she fought on principles and realises she and the Congress were up against two titans, who represented not just money power, machinery, liquor and two ruling governments, at the centre and the state.
