Tension In Paris During Protest Over Pension Reforms

Protests continued in the streets of Paris on Wednesday evening over President Emmanuel Macron's pension reforms which aim to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64. As a protest in northern Paris degenerated, riot police surged forward. They tried to corral the demonstrators down a side street. Officers used their shields to slam journalists against the wall, pinning them there despite their clear identification as members of the media.
