Tension Over Firing By Assam Police, Retaliation In Shilong
The deaths of five civilians from Meghalaya and a forest guard from Assam has led to a renewed focus on the boundary dispute between the two states. While the administrations of both states are focused on maintaining calm and not letting the situation get out of hand, an incident has been reported from Shillong, believed to be in retaliation to yesterday's incident.
