The 17-crore prayer in Karnataka for rain

Thousands of temples across parched Karnataka will conduct special prayers today seeking rain. The state government has asked all the 34,000 temples to spend about 5000 rupees each on these prayers. All temples put together, they will cost about 17 crore rupees.
