Urban India is the 3rd largest generator of waste. Talking about numbers, nearly 0.1 million tonnes of municipal solid waste is generated in India every day and out of the total municipal waste collected, 94% is dumped on land and sadly only 5% is composted. The only 2 ways to deal with this growing mountain of filth is by reducing our waste, and separating it for recycle. This years' campaign agenda is to adopt 3 steps of #Mere10Guz - Cleanliness, Composting and Waste Segregation.
