The Big Fight: Does Our History Need Correcting?

The government under the leadership of the Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma has constituted a committee to rewrite India's ancient history. It is the government's intention to trace the history of the country back to 12,000 years and 'fill the gaps' created by earlier historians who the government feels, may have carried a bias. On the show, we debate whether history can be written without an ideological tilt? Will this attempt to 'rewrite' history by the government, ignore facts while supporting a certain stand point?
