The Big Scams: Have Government Banks Lost Trust?

It's the biggest story of the year so far and its impact is not just political, its impact is being felt by all of us who have placed their trust in public sector banks. The story isn't just about Nirav Modi, who is accused of cheating the Punjab National Bank of Rs 11,400 crore, it is about over 93,000 crores of wilful defaults in state owned banks from till Dec 2017. Data shows that there has been a 340% surge in wilful defaults since 2013 in PSU banks. Are these banks safe anymore and can we trust them with our money?
