The Challenges In Malayalam Cinema's #MeToo Movement
The fallout of Justice Hema Committee report is still being felt after the mass resignation of the executive committee of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists or AMMA including its president superstar Mohanlal. Today, the Film Employees Federation of Kerala - a trade union of technicians in the film industry - urged that the names of alleged perpetrators mentioned in the Justice Hema Committee report should be revealed. The federation has also assured to provide legal support to the survivors. On The Last Word, we discuss the challenges in this case.
