The top automotive news of the day - Today we start by telling you that Tata Motors will officially commence bookings for the Nexon subcompact SUV in India from September 11. The Nexon is the company's first subcompact SUV and it's hoping to get a good response to it. We then take a look at Maruti Suzuki's plan to bring electric cars to India. The company has already signed an MOU with Toshiba and Denso for making lithium-ion batteries. Jaguar Land Rover announced that all of its new cars from 2020 will be electrified. We'll get a glimpse of the first electric car from the company's stable in 2018- the I-Pace.
