In the villages of Karauli district in Rajasthan, the task of extraction of world-famous red sandstone that causes incurable Silicosis, has been killing men for decades. In their absence, it's the women who are taking up this mantle. Unconnected to even the basic government schemes, thousands of poor women with small children are struggling to fend for themselves.
