The Godfather of Indian Jazz, Louis Banks, known also for the iconic Mile Sur Mera Tumhara, returned to Kolkata's iconic Park Street where he performed in the 70s. Banks used to perform at Hotel Hindustan and Blue Fox in those days. Louis Banks, who was born in Darjeeling. is now based in Bombay but spoke to NDTV exclusively at the Art Meets Jazz with Louis Banks event as part of the Bengal Biennale which is taking place at Kolkata and Santiniketan.
