Violence against Dalits is a tragically common feature of our society and only intensifying each time members of the Dalit community seek their most basic rights. When a court ruled in favour of a Dalit family's right to reclaim their own land, the upper caste mobs retaliated with a brutal attack, killing five members of that family. Two years later the family is still fighting for justice.
