The Need For Road Safety In India And Its Crisis
The Road Safety Crisis is a real problem in India, and it is time for India to take a multi-pronged approach to tackling the road safety crisis. In this panel discussion we will try and address the following points - Is bad road-user behavior at the crux of the matter?; Are we as Indians just bad on the road and if so do we need to have a better road safety education programme; Are our Laws Weak; Weak enforcement of traffic law and a Weak Penalty system is making this problem endemic and when can the country expect to get a set of safety norms which are stringent.
