The Pataudi Legacy: From Mansoor Ali Khan to Saif Ali Khan's Stardom

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has been a part of the Indian film industry for over three decades. However, his run in the spotlight started much earlier when he was born into the Pataudi royal family to cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and actor Sharmila Tagore. Born on August 16, 1970, in New Delhi, India, with the proverbial silver spoon in his mouth, Saif is known as much for his personal life as he is for his work as an actor. Known for both his personal life and his acting career, Saif made his Bollywood debut in Yash Chopra's Parampara. While the film didn't perform well at the box office, it served as a stepping stone for his career.  Saif's father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, was not only the captain of the Indian cricket team but also regarded as one of the best fielders of his time.
