When Nawaz Sharif became Pakistan's Prime Minister in 1990, he announced a series of revolutionary liberalisation policies in the transforming country's economy. The keyword in Nawaz Sharif's plan was "privatisation". But a year later, that plan seems to be in serious danger of being derailed by controversies of corruption, law and order problems and political impediments.
