Trinamool Congress MP Shatrughan Sinha on Sunday reiterated his support to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over the rape-murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College Hospital. He said it would be unfair to blame any Chief Minister for the crime. He further said that if this is the parameter, then even Prime Minister Narendra Modi should also resign on issues like Manipur violence and rape incidents in Hathras and Unnao. Talking to the media after participating in a function in Patna on Sunday, the actor-turned-politician said that the case is "very shocking and disgusting," adding that he supports the protests by doctors.
