Poonam Kaul, Founder, EkDesh at the 12-hour #SwasthyaMantra telethon said that as a part of their campaign #ApnaDeshApnaMask that aims to encourages people to wear home-made masks, the organisation did a study on people wearing masks and found that though almost 90% people know and are aware about masks but only 40% people comply. The study also highlighted that 50% don't want to wear masks because of inconvenience. Elaborating more reasons, Poonam Kaul at the telethon said that people have the confidence that 'I will not get the infection'. EkDesh mission is to make people comply with such precautions and wear masks so that the society is safe. The organisation has also started a 'corona soldier' programme under which those who wear masks are called corona soldier.
