"There Will Be Criminal Investigation": Kerala Minister On Actor's Sexual Abuse By Co-Stars Charge

The 235-page Hema Committee report, published after redacting the names of witnesses and the accused, notes that the Malayalam film industry is controlled by about 10 to 15 male producers, directors, and actors who dominate and exert control over the industry. Kerala Minister MB Rajesh says there will be criminal investigation into the allegations made by various actresses against senior Mollywood figures. Refuting allegations that government delayed the Hema Committee report, the minister said that government had no role in deciding whether report will be released or not. He added that the several measures have been taken by the government to ensure implementation of the recommendations made by the panel.
