Amid a heated debate in the Rajya Sabha against crucial farm bills, which cleared the parliament this afternoon, Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien attempted to tear the rule book and snatch off Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan's microphone. He later said the government was trying to change democracy into autocracy. "They denied us the chance to have a division," he said, referencing to the two agriculture reform bills that passed with a voice vote.
