The transgender community is hoping against hope, the Transgender Persons Bill 2014 which was passed in the Rajya Sabha in April this year is set to be presented in the Lok Sabha. The Bill not only calls for equality and welfare schemes for transgenders but all also paves way for 2 per cent quota in jobs and employment on the lines of the 2014 Supreme Court judgment on transgenders.
