"This is the age of information and also the age of great disinformation, when there is a motivated campaign then the government has to assure, and it was not slow, as soon as it happened the denial had been issued," said Prateep V. Philip, IPS officer, when asked if the administration was slow in reassuring people as so many travelled back due to rumours of attacks on migrants in Tamil Nadu.
