Bangladesh News Update: In an interaction with ANI, Bangladesh National Party (BNP) Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir reacted to the ongoing turmoil that Bangladesh is facing. He further criticised Sheikh Hasina's resignation. He further clarified that Bangladeshi people are not communal, and it is propaganda against Bangladesh, which is what is going on.
Speaking to ANI, he said, "Sheikh Hasina fled the country, abandoning her party and people. She was supposed to be with the people. She left because of the fury of the people. The interim government will stabilise the situation and bring peace and order. Bangladeshi people are not communal, and there was no riot at all. This is propaganda against Bangladesh and the government of Bangladesh. People don't want the government of Sheikh Hasina, who has killed a lot of people. We, BNP, will try to eradicate corruption and restore democracy properly and purely.
