Thomas will not supervise 2G inquiry by CBI
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court questioned how Thomas, as Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC), would objectively be able to supervise the inquiry into the 2G Scam, which centers on 2G spectrum being undervalued by the Telecom Ministry in 2008. The court stressed that while he was Telecom Secretary, Thomas had justified many of the decisions now under investigation by both the court and the CBI.
