Thousands lose jobs in UK because of Lehman collapse
In what is considered as the worst financial crisis on Wall Street, over 5,000 workers in the UK on Monday lost their jobs after the collapse of US investment bank Lehman Brothers. At a crisis meeting at the bank's European Headquarters in Canary Wharf, staff members were told they would all be made redundant.
