Thousands Take Holy Dip on Thai Amavasya, Offer Special Prayers to Ancestors

Thousands of devotees across Tamil Nadu marked the occasion of Thai Amavasya by taking a holy bath in the sea and various rivers, while also performing special rituals to honour their ancestors. In the coastal town of Rameswaram, devotees flocked to the Agni Teertham beach, which holds special significance, believing that a dip in its waters washes away a multitude of sins.
