Thousands Take To Streets In Nis To Demand Justice For November Disaster Victims

Tens of thousands of people flocked to the southern Serbian town of Nis on Saturday (March 1) to commemorate the victims of a railway station disaster and to participate in a series of student-led protests that have become the biggest threat yet to President Aleksandar Vučić's grip on power. Mass demonstrations have gained momentum over the past four months since 15 people were killed when a roof collapsed at a newly renovated train station in Novi Sad, Serbia's second-biggest city.
