Despite the Election Commission's new guidelines for a safe and socially distant Bihar Assembly Election 2020, LJP's Chirag Paswan believes elections in the state should be postponed - opposing the stand taken by it allies BJP and Nitish Kumar's JDU. "My priority is fighting the pandemic in the state and the floods. Lakhs have been affected by the floods. I am not thinking about elections now. But the day EC announces the dates, we will go on the ground, fight and win. We are well prepared," Mr Paswan said. It is not the right time to hold an election amid the raging pandemic and poor health infra of the state, he added.
