Tirupati Stampede: Know Exactly What Happened At Sri Venkateswara Temple That Claims Lives Of 6
Six persons lost their lives and several others sustained injuries after a stampede broke out at the Tirupati Tirumala Temple on Jan 08. The chaos erupted when thousands rushed to the ticket counter for darshan tokens at the Tirumala Temple. The stampede was caused due to "overcrowding", said the Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). President Droupadi Murmu extended condolences to the bereaved families of the Tirupati stampede incident in Andhra Pradesh. TDP National Spokesperson Prem kumar Jain reassured that such incidents will not happen again and necessary assistance given for injured's treatment
