TN: Senior citizens plead for help
Tamil Nadu has close to 10 lakh people who are fighting a losing battle to get their life's savings back. At least 6 lakh of them are senior citizens who need this money to survive. 76-year-old Kanthalakshmi is struggling to overcome a double blow. First she lost her only son and then all her meagre savings of Rs 46 thousand were gone. For the last four years, she's been trying, without success to get back her fixed deposit in Park Town Benefit Fund.
