Too little relief for Bihar flood victims
It has been nine days since Prime Minister Manmohan Singh declared the devastation in Bihar a national calamity. He also announced an immediate release of Rs 1000 crore and 1.25 lakh metric tonnes of foodgrain. It means nothing to state's flood victims who do not have a piece of plastic to protect themselves, boats to rescue their families, food to eat and clothes to wear.
