Toofaan: Anupama Chopra's Review - Farhan's Film Can't Match Up To Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
In her review for Toofaan, Anupama Chopra said that at the film's lead actor Farhan Akhtar's body language as a boxer is "persuasive." She added that this is "not a film that wants us to think too much. The dialogues spell everything out." Comparing it to Farhan's previous sports film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, she said "Toofaan can't match up to the emotional punch" of the 2013 film.
