Amid the ongoing unrest in Bangladesh and the continuous targetting of Hindus and other minorities in the country, India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misry is set to visit Dhaka tomorrow. Mr Misri's visit comes at a crucial time as this will be the first high-level diplomatic engagement since Sheikh Hasina fled Bangladesh, and the interim government took over. Mr Misri's day-long visit aims to address pressing issues, including the recent attacks on Hindus and temples in Bangladesh. The visit also takes place amidst growing tensions between India and Bangladesh, with protests erupting in Bengal and other parts of India. Bangladesh has recalled its diplomatic officials from Agartala and Kolkata, further straining relations.
