Traditional 'Mask-Making Art' Of Assam's Majuli Is Making A Mark Globally
The traditional Majuli masks of Assam were awarded a Geographical Indication, or GI tag, denoting their authentic place of origin, last month. The handmade masks are traditionally used to depict characters in theatrical performances with devotional messages.
